THE SUMU LA PENZI COCKTAIL

The creative team at Spielworks Media are a bunch of bona fide mixologists. I am not sure that mixologist is a real word but that is not important at the moment.

I caught up with Michelle Slater aka Madame Mixologist who gladly shared the magic that went into creating the special cocktail dubbed ‘Sumu La Penzi’ that had everyone chirpy at the launch.

You will need:

  • Mint leaves
  • Fresh strawberries
  • 1 tot raspberry vodka
  • 1 tot coconut vodka
  • Mixed berry juice
  • Ice
  • Strawberries (to garnish)

To make the funky drink is easy as 1, 2, 3…

  1. Muddle mint leaves and strawberries to release their fragrance.
  2. Add flavored vodka, top up with mixed berry juice and stir well.
  3. Pop in a few ice cubes and garnish with fresh berries and a sprig of fresh mint.

Serve preferably in a champagne flute or martini glass. Enjoy!
