“NO DRAMA” SAYS THE DRUMMER QUEEN

If I ever achieve my dream of producing “The Kenyan Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” you can rest assured that Muthoni Ndonga will be in the pilot. With hits such as “Nai ni ya Nani” and “Vile Inafaa” she’s arguably Kenya’s biggest female hip hop artiste- so that’s the famous bit covered. And as the CEO of Blankets and Wine - East Africa’s premiere music experience - she definitely has enough cheese to earn the label ‘Rich’.

Well just last week, Her Majesty (for I assume that is how one addresses the Drummer Queen) graced our offices with her presence and being the quick footed opportunist that I am, I wasted no time at all getting her mic’d and in front of a camera for an impromptu interview. Thanks to my aforementioned quick foot and an extremely cooperative Muthoni, everything was coming along splendidly… up until the point when I went to reach for my interview questions script, and realized that I had no interview questions script. Luckily, I have a quick wit to match my quick feet and coming up with five random (though slightly unusual) interview questions was a cake walk.

Presenting Behind the Scenes with Muthoni The Drummer Queen… where she talks about airport security, Ugandans and dancing in the rain with Mafikizolo.
