Listening to Justin Mirichii sing hits you by surprise because Justin is better known as an actor. He is a brash character in Jane & Abel on DSTV Maisha Magic and appears rather prominently in a KCB home loans advert alongside Lizz Njagah.He was also a favourite actor in the popular series Lies That Bind. We thought, all he did was make joyful noises in church. This guy can sing. He hits the notes with ease.

He is a good songwriter and selected the right key for his voice. (Haven’t we heard our fair share of bathroom singers who sound like drowning cats!) His acting background is evident and he lays on charm effortlessly and holds attention with mere expression. My World is a nostalgic number that evokes sweet memories. It will make you remember someone special and by-gone romantic moments. The video is well shot and pleasantly lit and moody. Though freshly released, Justin wrote My World in 2012, two years ago.

Justin Mirichii is four years in the game. He started as a member of a group Acapella Dimensions before joining Kayamba Fiesta. After that, he went solo. Chris Adwar, Dave Otieno of Mob Studios and Ulopa are a few of the producers he has worked with.

Justin also has a number of songs to his name. Miatu Ya Njuki [ sang in Embu song], Malaika, One Mile and Keep Moving and My World.

We wish him well in his half life as a singer. Sing on Mirichii!!!
